Good luck! Do you think a resource with information on what programs offer fee waivers and instructions for how to get them would be a helpful companion to this project?

@benmanns Yes, I think that would be a helpful resource for applicants! Perhaps if I put together a Google Spreadsheet template and ask the applicants to chip in by filling out the information for the schools they applied to, the spreadsheet can be built up gradually.

Do graduate programs tend not to offer need-based fee waivers for international students?

@Jason Some do, most don't. If you talk to enough international students you will see. From the sample of students I have talked to, about 1-3 out of 10 schools they are applying to offers a fee waiver, while the rest do not
