I'm a Sydney-based researcher who has been involved with effective altruism-aligned projects since 2015, most notably including CEO of Effective Altruism Australia for a year from 2016-2017, and Strategy Lead & Researcher at Sentience Institute for two years from 2022-2024. I have a BSc. and a PhD in astrogeophysics. My thesis was on applying seismic geophysics to space exploration, with an emphasis on implications for off-Earth mining and asteroid deflection.

I'm currently looking for work in the for-purpose space, ideally in EA/longtermism-aligned research, communications, and strategy roles. I'm also working on a science and ethics communications YouTube channel while I look for work to explore my options, with a view towards potentially making it a part of my income.
