Why DirectEd?

Because it is one of the most impactful charitable interventions currently available.

It is underfunded because it is so new, but with the current (2 months fresh) evidence from the pilot in hand, it is clear that our hypotheses were proven correct and it works. Of course, we are yet to see how well it scales but so far, everything is pointing in the right direction.

At its worst, it is probably equivalent GiveDirectly - given that it is an in-kind donation (like cash) except the recipient is given income-generating capital equipment AND the knowledge necessary to generate income.
