THE FRAME is a value-agnostic analytical pipeline that processes normative prescriptions by measuring structural distance from explicit foundational principles — without producing moral judgments. The Normalizer (Stage 1) is live. This grant funds the completion of the Analyzer (Stage 2) and the Alternatives stage, closing the full operational loop
Complete the Analyzer: map any prescription against 8 foundational principles across 3 coherence axes via sequential prompts
Add the Alternatives stage: generate prescriptions that reduce identified incoherences while preserving the declared goal
Integrate both stages with the existing Normalizer into a single operational pipeline
Demonstrate that grounding analysis in structural principles — rather than case accumulation — systematically avoids the coverage and generalization problems inherent in use-case-based approaches. If validated, this constitutes a replicable design principle for AI safety and alignment work more broadly.
Researcher time: full-time focus on Analyzer implementation, Alternatives stage development, and pipeline integration — no parallel consulting work during this period
IT costs: compute for multi-model stress-testing and API inference
