I have two papers accepted to for the poster presentation at the ICLR workshop on AI & PDE learning in Science. Each contribution showcases new methodological contributions to the field of Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) or Science AI and address uncertainty quantification as well as scalability of Physics-Informed Neural Networks to complex hyperbolic partial differential equations.

While in both cases the publications have co-authors we are all limited on the budget and neither of the universities agreed to cover the costs of travel. Other co-authors are majorly PhD students on low salaries and if I do not obtain finances to attend the conference it is likely that both papers will not be presented.
I have both scientific and personal goals. From scientific points of view both contributions address important issues in scalability of scientific machine learning to hyperbolic partial differential equations, which would allow scientists to potentially apply these methods to fields like plasma physics, fluid mechanics and more.
My second goal is to enable the publication and recognition for the hard work for two scientific teams that are predominantly female, which would also enable them to use this achievement to further progress in their careers.
And personally as being in transitional point in my postdoc career I believe attending the conference and the AI&PDE workshop would further help me expand my network and progress in my career. The keynote sessions at the workshop feature prominent speakers who are leaders in scientific machine learning, which aligns perfectly with my research goals. Engaging with experts at the broader conference will not only enhance my current knowledge but also foster new collaborations and opportunities in this rapidly advancing field. Furthermore, the importance of presenting my work at ICLR cannot be overstated. The visibility and feedback my papers will receive play a crucial role in shaping the future direction of my research.

Postdoc Conference Fee: $900
Return flight from London to Rio de Janeiro: $1 100
Accommodation: $200
The funding will be used to cover the conference fee and part of the travel expenses. The remaining amount will be covered by the participants.
This project is very unlikely to fail unless we do not meet our minimal goal. We have good track recond in making excellent presentations and posters.
I did not raise any money, but part of expenses for travel and accommodation I can cover from my salary. Unfortunately, the conference has rejected our application for volunteering and conference fee support.
