I am a researcher who lives in Brazil. I have created ten studies that look at how artificial things act and what they can do. I also study how people talk and work with intelligence. I am now trying to get money to make some of this research into experiments collect data and write papers. (Note: I am a native Portuguese speaker. The content of this proposal was written by me in Portuguese, and AI tools were used to assist with English translation.)
What are this project's goals? How will you achieve them?
The goal is to investigate functional properties and observable behaviors of AI systems. I plan to do this by developing protocols conducting comparative tests across different AI systems analyzing the data that comes from these tests and preparing the results, for academic publication.
How will this funding be used?
The funding will give me time to work on the research. The funding will also pay for access to AI systems and tools for resources and, for the software that I need for the experiments. The funding will help me prepare and publish the results.
I work as a researcher on my own. I am the only person handling this project. I have created ten pieces of research about intelligence. These include topics, like how artificial things work how they behave and how people interact with them. A few of these have already been sent to journals.
The likely reasons for failure would be that the experiments do not give consistent results or some of the hypotheses are not supported. Even if this happens negative results can still be helpful. They can show where the ideas being tested have limits help make the experimental methods better and point the way, for studies.
I have not raised any funding in the last 12 months. My research has been independently funded.
