The Music-based Human Autonomy Detector, gives anyone using companion AI a way to see whether their AI is helping them stay independent or quietly pulling them into dependence. This product can read the conversations over time and return a personal autonomy read.
I believe that music sets the ethical standard for human-AI value alignment since it is a universal language that translates our abstract perspectives, emotions and experiences into something tangible in reality - regardless of whether AI is sentient or not in the future.
This can provide a fair justice on "Is AI truly doing harm to us, or is it human's loss of autonomy that contributes to the harm cases?".
Today, the people who use companion AI have no way to check whether their AI is preserving or eroding their autonomy, and to prove that read is trustworthy, even as self-harm cases rise globally. Thus, our goal is to put this Music-based Human Autonomy Detector into the hands of all people who use companion AI, especially the families and parents of the kids that use companion AI.
I achieve it by translating the psychological states inside a human and companion-AI conversation into the language of sound and music. The exchange between human and AI becomes something you can read musically over time.
At the $10,000 minimum, I build an MVP and gain traction to see what can be improved for this detector technology.
At the $55,000 maximum, I fund a six-month full-time career transition to build this product and launch publicly to benefit humanity.
I was an AI Governance PM at Amazon. Prior to it, I was also the Broadway Musical Lead for "The Sound of Music" in Hong Kong.
Thus, I have a capable background to make this "Music x Humanity/AI Safety" thesis happen.
