Earlier in my school days, I've always had several memorable arguements with friends over identifying a mountain. Those were a core memory of my childhood. Now as I moved towards the field of technology and AI, I questionned can I build something that can be used to identify those mountains through my phone offline. Yes, Peak finder aims to use location based data and an additional open cv model as a seperate feature to identify the peaks in Nepal.
To make an offline mobile app accessible offline in any devices. Develop the app the a location based elevation detection system from which the mountains can be identified. Additionally, develop an open cv model that identifies mountain based on the camera capture not elevation data. To let tourist traveling to Nepal identify the mountains through their app easily. To allow mountain lovers to capture mountain images with their identification and to save and share those images. Also have the app contain information of all mountains in Nepal (as a mountain database).
I plan to achieve them by collecting the elevation data or preparing it.
Training the open cv models by fetching available mountain images.
Gather all mountains' infromations and images for the app to show everything properly.
This funding will be used to develop the app, to be utilized for training the AI model and gathering the data required for the app.

Our track record is to have developed an open cv models that lets you capture photo's of jaws and auto detects them. This app is being developed to be used in dental camps, where students images are taken then annotated by doctor along with necessary next steps then a report is sent digitally to their phones to have a safe record and awareness instead of traditional paper based report that 80% of students misplace.
Lack of data collection and avialability might be the reason this project amight fails. Though its unlikely.
