~CyberForge: Neon Protocol (live at https://aicraftcyberforge.com/) is a gamified AI-engineering simulator. The game features a 35-mission that guides players from prompt constraints up to autonomous multi-agent swarms. included with interactive boss encounter system where players battle rogue AI by deploying defensive protocols including Air-Gap Protocols, Semantic Firewalls, and Softmax Clamps. Cyberforge has cross-device cloud profile sync, and available desktop clients for Windows, macOS, and Linux. zero-signup guest onboarding with local persistence, paired with a paid lifetime Architect tier (via Stripe), and corporate CTF licensing.
Democratize Hands-On Red-Teaming: Move beyond passive whitepapers into interactive trial-and-error where players build deterministic attention filters and guardrails.
Launch the Adversarial Red-Team Arena: Build an automated headless evaluation engine where players defend system prompts against evolving injection, context poisoning, and jailbreak attacks.
Simulate Multi-Agent Cascades (Acts 4 & 5): Create 10 new challenge missions simulating Byzantine swarm consensus failures, goal drift, and rogue tool execution.
To achieve these goals, I'm planing on transitioning to full time development to be able to ship the adversarial testing harness. The grant acts as catalytic runway to build these safety modules, after which player Architect passes and enterprise red-team licensing will sustain ongoing development.
Solo Developer Living Runway ($4,500/mo for 5 months): $22,500
Covers personal living expenses (housing, food, healthcare) to buy 5 months of undivided, full-time engineering focus to build and polish the safety curriculum.
Community Red-Team Bounties: $1,500
Cash micro-prizes for students and researchers who discover novel jailbreaks against in-game sentinels, creating an open benchmark dataset. (provided funding allows for this)
Testing Infrastructure & Maintenance: $1,000
Serverless runners, security libraries, and hosting upkeep.
(Total: $25,000 | Minimum viable: $15,000 for 3 months runway)
Solo Developer and Architect. I independently designed, built, and deployed the entire working product at aicraftcyberforge.com with zero external funding. Being solo gives me maximum ability to respond to feedback with zero corporate overhead.
Discovery & Conversion Risk: If player conversion is slow, the frictionless zero-signup onboarding minimizes bounce rates, and collegiate AI safety partnerships provide an organic user pipeline.
Model Shift: Frontier LLM updates could alter specific jailbreaks; the game mitigates this by teaching foundational architectural principles (defense-in-depth, schemas, supervisor patterns) rather than temporary prompt hacks.
Outcome: Even in a downside scenario, the funding delivers a permanent, high-fidelity 35+ mission AI safety simulation engine and benchmark dataset that continues to train engineers.
