### Intellectual Background & Monotropic Focus
For six years, I treated the study of classical counterpoint and 16th/18th-century polyphony not as a hobby, but as a full-time cognitive obsession. I spent 6 to 8 hours daily decoding the structural, deterministic rule-sets of Bach, Fux, and Palestrina.
To me, music theory was an intense exercises in formal, constraint-based logic. This intense autodidactic period built my cognitive stamina, an exceptionally high tolerance for deep work, and an acute ability to recognize complex abstract patterns. Due to severe macroeconomic limitations in Brazil, I was unable to institutionalize this knowledge or turn it into a career, leaving my analytical capacity unallocated.
### Current Constraints & Cognitive Economics
I currently support myself by working an administrative job at a local funeral home, earning roughly $480 USD/month. While the work is necessary for survival, it forces me to expend my daily executive function on low-complexity, highly repetitive tasks.
As an autistic individual, navigating traditional corporate structures or high-masking social environments is highly inefficient and unsustainable for me. My neurotype is fundamentally optimized for deep, solitary immersion in rigid, rule-bound systems—which is why a pivot into computer science and formal logic is the most logical path for my cognitive architecture.
### Execution & Accountability
I understand that funding someone to learn from scratch is an unconventional bet. To mitigate the downside risk and prove my trajectory, I commit to:
1. **Public Progress Logging:** I will publish a monthly, detailed review on LessWrong tracking my learning milestones, breakthroughs, and cognitive bottlenecks.
2. **Open-Source Proof of Work:** All my code, algorithmic exercises, and logical architecture projects will be publicly hosted on GitHub from Day 1.
