EWB RTP seeks to improve the lives of disadvantaged indigenous communities in the Guatemala department of Alta Verapaz Guatemala. The method we use for this is to provide improved water supplies in terms of both quantity, availability and cleanliness. Our two recent projects in Chipozo (2019-2024) and Chiquiguital (2024-2026) have used a solar-powered pumping system to gather water from a spring, pump it up to a tank above the community, and then provide water to the community using a gravity distribution system.
