The idea is to use the small amount of existing wood chips to power the car via the gasifier, and then the car by driving a wood chipper could produce ~two orders of magnitude more wood chips than it needs to power itself. Then these excess wood chips could be used to power vehicles for transportation, electricity production, etc.
