About Me

Over the past twenty years, my research has focused on higher category theory, higher operads, and algebraic models of weak higher-dimensional structures. In particular, I have worked on Grothendieck-style coherators and on algebraic approaches to weak ∞-categories and weak ∞-groupoids, with the broader aim of understanding homotopy theory through higher categorical structures.

My scientific journey has been somewhat unconventional. Much of my research has been carried out independently, with limited financial support, driven primarily by a long-standing commitment to fundamental mathematical questions. This intellectual independence has allowed me to develop my own approaches to problems that require considerable time and conceptual exploration.

Recently, while completing a paper on cubical weak higher categories, I experienced an unexpected mathematical insight that appears to open a new path toward a complete proof of Grothendieck's homotopy hypothesis, a major long-standing conjecture concerning the relationship between weak ∞-groupoids and homotopy types.

What makes this development particularly intriguing is that I was not initially attempting to solve this conjecture. The idea emerged naturally from mathematical structures I had developed over many years. I believe this unexpected connection deserves serious investigation.

I am not claiming to have solved the conjecture. At this stage, I wish to explore the idea rigorously, develop the necessary constructions, and determine whether it can lead to a complete proof, while keeping the technical details confidential until they are sufficiently developed.

I am therefore seeking a modest amount of philanthropic support: €3,000 per month for six months, a total of €18,000. This would provide me with the financial freedom and uninterrupted research time needed to investigate this promising direction.

For a relatively small investment, a patron would be supporting an independent mathematical exploration with the potential to contribute to the resolution of one of the most profound questions in higher-dimensional mathematics.
