I came to Florida from Russia in January 2020, in fifth grade, without English. I spent the first years mostly silent. In eighth grade my school had no ESOL class at all, so I sat through the year without one. I took ESOL English in ninth and tenth grade, and in eleventh I took Cambridge AICE English General Paper at AS Level, one year after leaving ESOL. That same year I took Algebra 2 Honors and earned an A all four quarters: 93, 98, 100, 97.

I live with my mother. She works at a daycare and files as a contractor, so there is no salary, only what comes in that month. Our household income last year was $3,789.

Since June I have been building a measurement system that tests what AI assistants actually recommend when someone asks them for one. It works on anything a model can be asked to name: a local business, a developer tool, an SDK, a franchise. It puts each question to five assistants, repeats it, and saves every raw answer rather than a score. My first version cost about six dollars a run, and most of that went to models re-reading their own output, so I rewrote the scheduling and got it down to about two. I pay for all of it myself and put up to 50 hours a week into it alongside my senior year.

Since February 2025 I have volunteered at an auto shop in South Florida, learning the trade unpaid. I also coach three people in the gym on my own time, and one of them now trains on his own.

I am interested in how language models decide what to recommend, in software engineering, in markets, and in powerlifting.
