I grew up around my family’s street-food business in Keelung, Taiwan, and studied digital multimedia design. My conventional work background is practical rather than academic or technical. The software, AI, and research work I do now has developed independently.

I use LLMs extensively for research and writing, build small web tools and prototypes, and move between language, structured data, software, visual work, games, and physical making.

I also have learning disabilities. One practical result is that memorizing English words is unusually difficult for me, even when I understand the idea I am trying to express. I use dictionaries, translation tools, search, and LLMs as part of the interface between what I can understand and what I can reliably put into words.

My projects can look unrelated, but I keep returning to similar questions: what gets lost when something moves between representations, how can provenance and uncertainty survive that movement, and how can a large vague problem be broken into something small enough to actually test?

That is usually how I work. I take a large question apart, compare it with what already exists, build one small public experiment, find out what is wrong with it, and then decide whether the next step deserves to exist.

More recently, I have also been trying to stop treating thinking, making, and ordinary life as separate worlds. I am interested in whether work that genuinely changes something in the physical world can also produce useful evidence, tools, or new questions.
