About Me

I've spent my career at the intersection of campaigning, strategic communications, and high-stakes advocacy.

I started at Greenpeace, where I spent 17 years (10 as a volunteer, 7 as staff) across Greenpeace International, Greenpeace Mediterranean, and Greenpeace Italy. In 2010 I founded Latte Creative (lattecreative.com), a strategic communications and campaigning agency that has worked exclusively with nonprofits, foundations and institutions for over 15 years. Our clients include Greenpeace, Amnesty International, WWF, Doctors Without Borders, ActionAid, Transparency International, the Council of Europe, and the European Commission. I also co-founded Change.org Italia (now 7M+ users) and Worth Wearing.

Over the past two years I have been progressively reorienting my work toward AI safety and frontier AI risks. I am the founder and current President of Via Lattea (Milky Way in Italian, vialattea.org), an Italian nonprofit focused on AI safety, algorithmic ethics and digital rights. Via Lattea has an active partnership with the Stop Killer Robots coalition and an emerging collaboration with the Vatican's Scholas Occurrentes on AI and young people. We run a weekly AI safety radio programme on Radio Sapienza (Sapienza University of Rome) and a small bookstore in Rome dedicated to books on Activism, AI safety and technology.

I hold a Master's in Nuclear Physics from the University of Bologna and sit on the Doctoral Board for the PhD in Design for Social Change at ISIA Roma Design.

Based in Rome. Open to collaboration on AI safety campaigns, narrative research, and capacity-building for civil society organisations entering the field.
