About Me

Expertise & Track Record

Independent AI Governance Researcher specializing in the intersection of political science and socio-technical systems, with a focus on how LLM architectures impact cultural integrity and user agency across non-Western contexts.

  • 25+ years of qualitative research and consulting, providing a grounded understanding of how AI systems are experienced and misused in real-world, non-English-speaking environments.

  • Developed the CAAF (Cooperative Alignment Assessment Framework) Audit Checklist: a practical tool bridging high-level AI ethics and technical auditing, designed for use by NGOs, policymakers, and independent auditors globally.

  • Presented CAAF at the ADBI-JICA AI Forum, receiving substantive engagement from international development and policy stakeholders.

  • Appointed Expert, Global AI Ethics Institute, Paris.

Academic Contributions

  • Author of the Beyond Technical Compliance series (3 working papers, SSRN): empirical analysis of behavioral manipulation risks in LLM systems, with particular focus on CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) linguistic and cultural contexts.

  • Selected to present latest findings at the International Conference on Large-Scale AI Risks 2026 (June 23–24, KU Leuven & Future of Life Institute).

Current Mission

AI governance must be cross-cultural, not a Western compliance exercise. My work provides the empirical foundation and practical tools to make that possible. I am currently seeking funding to complete the international validation of CAAF through expert consultation at Leuven—a critical milestone toward establishing it as an open, globally recognized auditing standard.
