@Melina-M-Lima
I am an interdisciplinary professional with research, legal, and policy expertise. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in International Political Economy/International Relations. I have 12 years of professional experience, including 10 years as a researcher and professor of International Law. In addition to working temporarily at the International Criminal Court (the Hague) and providing consulting legal and policy services for an NGO, I have also led a research group focused on international law and the Amazon. I have solid research and analytical skills, and I am fluent in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. Over the past two years, my research has centered on the climatic impact of the livestock industry through the lens of international law and policy. This research has sparked a deep sense of purpose in me, inspiring a commitment to not only study about the global food transition academically but also engage with it in practical, real-world contexts where I can contribute to meaningful change.
