We wrote the paper and submitted it to ICRL 2026 as a conference paper: https://openreview.net/forum?id=Z10pxu0Q7X
It got decent (one 8 point and two 4 point) reviews but because of an ICRL leak, reviewers were not able to change their scores
We believe the paper provides good empirical evidence that LLMs can do implicit planning in certain contexts (building on the Anthopic biology paper)
If the paper does not get accepted we would submit it as a workshop paper to another conference
Denis might continue to do some research on implicit planning together with michael hanna
