I’m Jess Hines, founder/MD of Fingerprint Content — a film/TV studio working across the UK, India and the US. Alongside our slate, I’m building the Department of Future Listening (DFL): a small, public-benefit lab that tracks narrative operations/“meaning capture” around AI and climate and turns those insights into practical outputs (casebooks, early ethics passes for projects, and workshops for funders/commissioners/civil society). The aim is simple: strengthen public sensemaking and support storytelling that treats humans, place and the more-than-human with real agency and care.
