Currently working on using E.coli as a sentinel organism for monitoring AMR dissemination from abattoir effluent into an open drainage channel in Kampala, Uganda. By integrating phenotypic tests with genomic characterisation of the resistant isolates, the work aims to generate local data for evidence-based decision making.
