I have been building Realer for more than ten years because I believe in the project and in the size of the opportunity. I am convinced that one or a few companies will eventually emerge as clear leaders in the IoT platform market, in the same way that dominant platforms emerged in other internet sectors.
Realer already exists and is online. My goal is to make it much easier for people to develop their own connected control devices, manage them remotely, and eventually sell their devices through the platform.
Today, creating an IoT product still requires knowledge across several areas: software, APIs, authentication, networking, hardware integration and infrastructure. I want Realer to reduce that complexity and make the process more accessible to individuals and small teams.
AI can help with this by guiding users during development and configuration, while better UX and stronger infrastructure can make the whole platform easier to use and more scalable.
I am now trying to move Realer to the next stage by improving the UX, expanding the infrastructure, and increasing the development resources available to me.
The main goal is to make Realer much easier to use for people who want to build and sell connected devices.
I want to improve the development flow so that a user can create a control device, configure it, test it and connect it to Realer with less friction.
I also want to explore how AI can help during this process: for example by explaining settings, helping with APIs or authentication, suggesting solutions when something does not work, and guiding less experienced users step by step.
Another important goal is to expand the infrastructure behind Realer so that it can support more users, more connected devices and more computational workloads over time.
In the longer term, I want Realer to support the full life cycle of a connected product: development, certification, sales, customer management and technical support.
I will continue developing the platform incrementally, as I have done for more than ten years, but with more resources I can move much faster.
The funding would mainly be used in three areas.
First, I would increase the AI-assisted development capacity I have available so I can continue developing Realer faster and experiment with additional tools where useful.
Second, I would expand and maintain the server infrastructure behind Realer. This is important both for current operation and for supporting more users, devices and future AI-related workloads.
Third, I would use part of the funding to improve the UX and begin experimenting more seriously with AI guidance inside Realer itself.
If I receive only the minimum amount, I can still move one part of this work forward. If I receive more, I can work on development capacity, infrastructure and UX in parallel.
I am the founder and main developer of Realer.
I have been working on it for more than ten years. I started long before the current AI development tools existed.
Over the years I have had to solve many technical problems and also deal with the financial difficulty of continuing a large project with limited resources.
I kept working on it because I believe in the project and in its long-term potential.
The platform is already online and working. I am not starting from an idea on paper; I am trying to accelerate something that already exists.
The biggest risk is lack of resources.
Realer is a large project for one person to build and maintain. Development tools, AI usage, servers and infrastructure all cost money, and when resources are limited, development slows down.
Another risk is that making IoT development simple enough for non-experts takes more time and iteration than expected.
If I do not reach all the goals in this proposal, the work will not be lost. Realer already exists and I will keep developing it. The main consequence would simply be that it takes me longer to get there.
I have not raised external investment or grant funding for Realer in the last 12 months. I have been funding the development myself.
