AIR is a framework for Alignment on Uniform Power Distribution through AI-Empowered Human Capacity Development. This Alignment operates over a Unified Scope for AI safety and governance, enabling us to collectively address the interconnected crises of poverty, unemployment, misinformation, and ecological degeneration.
We provide Guides and tools to help Researchers and Engineers coordinate in any topic they choose, aligning all contributions with Four Routes for Effective Altruism, operationalization of AI safety and Good Governance interventions.
MVP - Working Prototype: https://air.gyrogovernance.com/
We provide protocols as shared infrastructure to help contributors research and build solutions to today’s most urgent crises in the age of Transformative AI, and we welcome anyone who wants to contribute, without credential or hiring gatekeeping.
AIR Budget Plan (12 months)
Minimum: $50,000
Goal: Run and Promote a pilot version on a solo basis
Success criteria:
1 working local-first app prototype released open source
10 Fellows complete a pilot run using it
At least 20 verified work submissions routed through the workflow
Standard: $150,000
Goal: Build more features faster and run a larger pilot with more labs
Success criteria:
Stable beta release plus onboarding docs
30 Fellows complete pilot runs
At least 100 verified work submissions
At least 2 repeat projects run by partner labs
Optimal: $500,000
Goal: Deliver a production-ready app plus adoption support and micro-grants channel for contributors.
Success criteria:
Production-ready v1 release with upgrades based on pilot feedback
1000 Fellows onboarded
At least 500 verified work submissions
At least 10 completed lab projects run end to end through the system
More funding increases delivery speed, adoption capacity, and opens up routes for providing micro-grants to our Fellows. It does not change the core mission.

The research, core framework, and working prototype are already developed. This budget funds execution: testing the app, running pilots, onboarding fellows, and supporting adoption. The main cost is people because year 1 is an engineering and pilot rollout year.
I am a Senior Technologist operationalizing AI Safety standards (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, UNESCO AI Ethics) into production-ready infrastructure. I leverage 12+ years of executive R&D management and 8 years of frontier safety engineering to build alignment tooling that scales from research to governance.
My lab's website is: gyrogovernance.com
Developed an epistemic AI safety risks taxonomy validated on 90M+ sparse autoencoder features across 16 language models (via Neuronpedia API).
Built an Inspect AI evaluation suite with 20 metrics across 5 domains (hallucination, sycophancy, deception/goal drift diagnostics).
Shipped socio-technical specifications and a custom llama.cpp kernel to support zero-trust AI governance architectures.
A team will be formed if upper funding levels will be secured, while the community can help as well, considering the open source nature of this project. With minimum funding I will have to continue alone. Not optimal, but I can do it with the help of the community.
This project addresses a serious gap that affects the whole domain of AI Safety. It has to succeed and I am determined to pivot as much as necessary so to scale it properly. I work over 12 h per day, 7 days a week, no holidays, without financial support and I am determined to provide a solution to systemic discrimination. I have done all the hard work of building epistemic foundations around AI Risks mitigations, an extensive stack for AI safety empowering participatory governance, while also engineered the MVP for AI Safety Ops. Even if I won't get funding, I'll keep going.
It will fail if nobody signs, and I won't manage to get traction. The causes are noise. I also find it difficult to gain trust from funders because I am working alone. But as of now, in Greece, we don't have any proper infrastructure and the domain is not friendly to people who are misfits like myself.
