After spending over two decades working in the corporate space across multinational organisations and diverse industries, I felt pulled to pivot my career into something more meaningful. As a vegan and animal lover, I now leverage my expertise to fight for animal justice. In 2024, I founded Stop Live Export SA (SLESA), building it from the ground up into a recognised national advocacy movement dedicated to ending the live export of animals by sea from South Africa. My mission is to end the worst forms of farmed animal cruelty — starting at sea. Through SLESA, I have driven a national petition campaign, engaged directly with government and Parliament, and built collaborative relationships with international organisations working on the same cause. I am currently working to stop live animal exports, then plan to build outward to other urgent farmed animal cause areas, with one ultimate goal: a future free of industrial animal agriculture.
