Twenty years shipping production systems, with formal training in mathematics. A few years ago the AI memory problem caught me and I chased it properly, in the open: I published the theory (SLoD), built the engine largely alone, and audited and corrected my own benchmark rather than inflating it. I would rather be right than look right, which is exactly the discipline a memory and evaluation problem needs.
